After
discussing about various streams
in engineering in my previous post, I am sure aspirants would be interested
in knowing admission procedures. In this post we will particularly talk about
Admissions and course fee structure. This is my personal feeling that one
should try for the best and settle for no mediocre. In this post we consider
the top government engineering colleges of India and only top 10 private
engineering colleges. This is for the reason that when you choose engineering
as career you should get properly trained, as you will design and build machines,
devices, software, processes, structures and what not. So there should be no
compromise in quality of teaching and resources, and government engineering
colleges have them the best.
Below I state the basic requirements for national and international
students based on kind of adopted education system:
It is safe to have first class marks in the above stated education levels.
For admissions in IIT JEE below table shows form fees:
For admissions in AIEEE, below table shows the form fees:
It is sensible to appear for IIT JEE and AIEEE. Course fees
in Govt colleges is around 3,50,000 (Hostel + Tuition) Rs + Candidates’ own
expenses. Actual amount is discussed at the counseling session. It is important
that students start checking on admission requirements as early as in class 10
Government
Colleges are preferred over private colleges. It is well valued and also worth
it. Colleges like IITs have the best of the resources and training. For
students who need financial assistance (educational loans) from banks for the
completion of engineering courses, then if the college selected is a Govt. one,
it is passed with minimum hassles.
I am sure this post has been useful in terms of clarifying the basic approach to get admissions in to best engineering colleges. In our next blog post we will discuss the best national and international colleges.
